Rajasthan's golden sand dunes whispered secrets to the winds as two children rudra and sameeksha , sat together on a majestic Mehrangarh fort wall, watching the sunset.

"Sameeksha, mai hamesha tumhare sath rahunga." 17 year old Rudra vowed to her, his eyes shinning with devotion. ( I will always be with you)

"Mai bhi hamesha tumhare sath rahungi." 8 year old Sameeksha replied her smile radiant.( I will also be with you always). "Hum forever sath rahenge ."We will always stay forever. "

She forwarded her little pinky finger and they both promised to each other that they live together forever.

As they seal their promise with tender , the dessert sky seemed to bless there union.

But fate had other plans.

Present

Rudra ( 32) , now a powerful businessman, stood beside sameeksha (23) his childhood sweetheart who turned into sworn enemy , in his opulent Jodhpur haveli ( Raj mahal).

Their marriage is a mere arrangement of convenience, fueled by family obligations and hidden agendas.

Sameeksha's gaze pierced rudra's. " Once you made a promise that you always stay with me loves me ".What about that promise rudra?

You are such a stupid sameeksha may be you are the best lawyer but still you are dumb head person. " You know na promises are meant to be break" . He mocked her .

His face hardened and eyes flashed with raw anger as rage build up inside him. Without any warning he grabbed her throat tightly while choking her and cutting her oxygen supplies.

She also smiled and closed her eyes while looking at him. The black dots start appearing I think finally I can free from this cruel world and their realities .

But he leave my throat and pushed me in bed and barged outside from his room.

I laughed loudly in my fate." Wow what a fate once those hands promise to protect me and now the same hands wants to kill me. "

Tears welled up in my eyes but before they falls from my precious eyes I stop them. And after fighting for good 10 with myself finally I composed myself.

Rudra's eyes seemed to bore into sameeksha's soul as if daring her to challenge him. " Our families have secured our alliance we must put aside our differences . "

Sameeksha's voice dripped with venom "Differences? You call betrayal a differences".

The air thickened with tension , heavy with unspoken words.

Suddenly rudra's phone rang, shattering the silence. "Excuse me", he said answering the call.

Sameeksha seized the opportunity tu compose herself. She gazed around here and there in lavish room , her eye's setteling in a faded photoframe on the mantle.

Two children smiling and while holding each other hands , stared back to her - its them. Their innocence and love still frozen in time.

Rudra returned, his expression unreadable. " Our families expect us to make a public appearance tonight. Are you prepared? "

Sameeksha's jaw clenched. "I will play the role of dutiful wife but dont think this charade will last forever".

As they descended into grand Hall, the media and good crowd of people welcome them. And media tries there best to capture of them but rudra covered her. And glared at them.

They mingled with guests, sameeksha's smile flattered, her eyes locked in a silent battle with rudra's. The tension between them crackled like a live wire.

" Rudra darling " , a slutry voice purred, as a stunning woman slide beside him. Her dark black eyes eyes looks so intense.

Rhea, Rudra said, his to me neutral. " I didn't expect you to attend. "

Rhea's laughter sent a shiver down sameeksha's spine. " I wouldn't miss this Union for any mere girl or people. "

As rhea's finger grazed rudra's arm. Sameeksha's

control snapped. She grasped rudra's hand , her touch sparking electricity in his whole body .

"Breath husband", she whispered near his ear. While touching them sensually. " We have image to maintain so smile".

Rudra's eyes darkened because of the stunt she pulled . But he played along with her and his lips curling into a small smile .

The charade continued between them exchanging bared remarks, their words dripping with venom.

But beneath the facade , sameeksha sensed a hidden vurnability in rudra's gaze. Was it a trick or a genuine crack in his armor?

Suddenly, rudra leaned in , his breath hit her neck and goosebumps appeared in her whole body. He whispering against sameeksha's ear . "You are playing with a fire sameeksha . Be careful".

Sameeksha's heart skipped a beat. Was it a warning or a threat?.

Still she managed to say with her shivered lips "And I love to play with fire. "

The tension between them only escalating with each passing minutes. As they danced, rudra's hand rested on sameeksha's waist , his touch sending shiver down to her spine. She tried to pull away, but he only hold her more firmly.

"You are enjoying this ,aren't you?"sameeksha whispered her voice laced with venom.

Rudra's gaze locked into her, his piercing gaze digging hole inside her soul. " I am savoring every moment.

There bodies swayed with music , inches away, yet world apart.

Suddenly rudra's lips brushed against her ears and he whispered in his deep and husky voice which is enough for to get goosebumps.

"You still smell like lavender "he said sensually and bite my ears.

Sameeksha heart stuttered and skip a beat. He still remember?

Oh stop overthinking devi jii you forget it that you take shower before you get ready for reception and also spray lavender body mist. My inner mind reminds me.

The music shifter to sensual tempo , their movements slowing . Rudra's hands slid up sameeksha's back , his finger tracing the curves of her neck.

Sameeksha's resolve crumbled , her body responding with rudra's touch.

Just as there lips almost touched , rudra pulled back , his eyes glinting with triumph .

"Game on, wifey" he wishpered .

The music stopped, and sameeksha stood frozen in her place , her pulse racing.

Was he again playing game with me? Or was this a genuine spark?
